The fast-food chain reported stronger-than-expected third-quarter profits. While revenue in the U.S. declined, strong international sales boosted results. NASDAQ Microchip Technology Inc., down $4.64 at $31.98. The semiconductor company was downgraded on concerns about a flattening U.S. housing market. Taser International Inc., up 25 cents at $18.81. The company said a U.S. District Court judge dismissed a product liability suit involving the February 2006 death of a cook who worked in a New Orleans restaurant. Volcano Corp., up 95 cents at $18.13. The medical equipment maker said it expects to report third-quarter revenue of around $31.5 million due to a 28 percent increase in the sales of its intravascular ultrasound disposables in the U.S. year-over-year.
