Youths the target of "ex-gays".


Florida resident Justin Flippen wants everyone to know about the damaging effects of religion-based groups that offer a "repair" for homosexuality. And he should know. He's a survivor of an "ex-gay" program. "The psychological damage such misguided therapy inflicts upon others" is shameful, he said at a press conference held March 2 by the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's Policy Institute.

A new report from the NGLTF NGLTF National Gay and Lesbian Task Force  says youths are now the primary targets of "ex-gay" programs, which warn parents to watch for effeminate ef·fem·i·nate

Foreman and others are calling on states to require that "ex-gay" programs targeting youths be licensed and regulated.
