Nonprofit corporations are created according to state law. , community-based groups that develop creative ways to help young people improve their eating and physical activity patterns. Fifty grants of $10,000 each will be awarded in the spring of 2004. Proposal applications must be received by Feb. 2, 2004. The 50 grants are part of the General Mills Champions Program, a joint initiative among The American Dietetic Association The American Dietetic Association (ADA) is the United States' largest organization of food and nutrition professionals, with nearly 65,000 members. Approximately 75 % of ADA's members are registered dietitians and about 4 % are dietetic technicians, registered.
