J.P. Brunet of Timmins understands the concept hard work pays off.

Brunet started J.P.E.P Enterprises in August 2003. VARS Investment Group offered the opportunity for him to startup a sole proprietorship A form of business in which one person owns all the assets of the business, in contrast to a partnership or a corporation.

A person who does business for himself is engaged in the operation of a sole proprietorship.

Brunet's product knowledge of the VARS processes has landed him new roots in Sudbury where he expects to expand his business opportunities. Today, he has clients spanning across the North.

Brunet says VARS has a different concept from the traditional debit machine services. Instead of paying a monthly fee for a portable, stationary Stationary can mean:

Of that, 20 cents would be taken out for processing fees and the remaining difference would be split between the business owner and VARS.

He also offers long-distance phone cards, and will soon offer Smart Cards Example of widely used contactless smart cards are Hong Kong's Octopus card, Paris' Calypso/Navigo card and Lisbon' LisboaViva card, which predate the ISO/IEC 14443 standard.
