The Duneland Health & Wellness Institute offers a wide range of services to help individuals maintain their health, feel better and treat injuries and illnesses. Inside DHWI is Duneland Fitness, a world-class medically based fitness center which offers massage therapy Massage Therapy Definition

DUNELAND FITNESS

Duneland Fitness is a state-of-the-art center and offers a tremendous range of equipment, services and educational programs.

The facility includes the finest exercise and fitness equipment. Cardiovascular equipment includes treadmills, upright and recumbent recumbent /re·cum·bent/ (re-kum´bent) lying down.

There is a 1/16th-mile track located within the fitness center, along with a four-lane indoor lap pool and a warm water therapy pool. The pool area includes Aqua Trend strength training/Hydro rider bikes.

As a medically based fitness center, each member receives an initial health assessment with enrollment. Individuals have their cholesterol, blood pressure and heart rate checked. The health assessment is administered with a medical history and physical activity questionnaire, along with physical measurements, flexibility and strength components.

A personalized orientation is provided with a specific workout program designed from the health assessment and fitness goals information. A six-month reassessment will be conducted to track the member's progress and establish new goals.

INTEGRATED HEALTH SERVICES
