My husband and I divorced a year ago and he's been living with another woman since then.

We've always been family orientated. We have three grown-up children and seven grandchildren and have learned to be friends again for all their sakes. I see my ex a lot at family gatherings and he recently came along when I took the younger grandchildren to the zoo.

It feels like old times when we're together and sometimes I forget we're divorced. Our sex life was always good and I miss our cosy moments.

When I'm around him, he tends to send off signals that he misses me too, and he flirts with me when his girlfriend's out of the way. What's going on with him? Do you think he still loves me?

You and your ex share a history and know each other intimately. Even though you're no longer man and wife, some of that comfort and familiarity remains. Because of this, things are bound to get awkward and confused at times.

Even though you have mixed emotions about him, there remains a flicker of the old flame you can't bring yourself to put out. He probably also still cares about you.

In theory, he might like the idea of being close again but it could stir up a lot of trouble. You've worked hard to get where you are. Don't backtrack now.

It's great to be friends but the flirting has to end. Don't jump back into his bed, at least until he's unattached. Be careful. Don't let yourself get hurt.
