Your Letters: No fun, Barry.
AMID all the fabulous partying at the palace, there really was one only sour note ... Barry Humphries.
He managed to spoil - at least for Liverpudlians - an otherwise fabulous occasion when he cracked a few, pretty poor jokes, at our expense.
The BBC cameras panned onto the Queen as he spoke, and even she was grimacing at his rather tired attempts at humour.
I know we are always accused of being thin-skinned, but it does get really boring hearing the same old things trotted out about our city by people who probably haven't been here for yonks (if ever).
Perhaps the council should invite Humphries along for a visit so thathe can revise his preconceptions of the place.
