The music on Global Funk's latest album, "Bogo," mixes jazz, rock 'n' roll rock 'n' roll: see rock music.  and improvisation for a boogie-down vibe. The California-based quartet has opened for artists such as Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Ozomatli, Garaj Mahal Garaj Mahal is a four piece band, based in the United States, playing a fusion of jazz, Indian music, rock, and especially funk: Kai Eckhardt (bass), Fareed Haque (guitars), Alan Hertz (drums), and Eric Levy (keys). , Spearhead and the Isley Brothers.

Norma Fraser

There's no questioning Norma Fraser's reggae credentials. As a teenager in Jamaica, she was among the first artists signed to the Studio One label, where she met and befriended Bob Marley.

After bucking the male-dominated reggae community in Jamaica, Fraser formed her own label, Gyftt Records. She now lives in Eugene and most recently released a CD called "C'mon Baby."

Fraser will perform her lively roots-reggae on Saturday at Cozmic Pizza. The grooves will begin at 8 p.m.

When it comes to classic 1960s rock 'n' roll, the Divers know a thing or two. And they use cool, vintage instruments to boot. The band will headline '60s Retro Night at 8 p.m. Thursday at Cozmic Pizza.
