You Suit: Media conglomerate Viacom Inc. sued Google Inc.'s
YouTube for $1 billion, claiming that the video-sharing site had built
its business by using the Internet to "willfully willfully adv. referring to doing something intentionally, purposefully and stubbornly. Examples: "He drove the car willfully into the crowd on the sidewalk." "She willfully left the dangerous substances on the property." (See: willful) infringe
copyrights on a huge scale." Several media companies have reached

Electric Co.'s NBC Universal NBC Universal is a media and entertainment company formed in May 2004 by the combination of General Electric's NBC with Vivendi Universal Entertainment (part of the French Media Group, Vivendi SA). GE owns 80% of NBC Universal with the remaining 20% owned by Vivendi SA. and the British Broadcasting Corp.,
but others remain reluctant to deal with the Web site because of
copyright concerns.
