Explain This It's a decoy! This man in Mohenjo Daro, Pakistan, is sporting a headdress headdress, head covering or decoration, protective or ceremonial, which has been an important part of costume since ancient times. Before they were protected by law the birds were nearly exterminated by hunters seeking their beautiful, white, silky  to stalk birds along the Indus River. Egrets make good decoys because they are usually skittish skit·tish

2. Restlessly active or nervous; restive.

3. Undependably variable; mercurial or fickle.

4. Shy; bashful.
 and nervous, but when birds see calm egrets in a river, they think the coast is clear.
