Featured product ranges from cabin design to seat, to inflight entertainment system. 2006, being held from September 27-29 at the Hong Kong Hong Kong (hŏng kŏng), Mandarin Xianggang, special administrative region of China, formerly a British crown colony (2005 est. pop. 6,899,000), land area 422 sq mi (1,092 sq km), adjacent to Guangdong prov. Convention and Exhibition Center. The units, which were developed for the Boeing 757 airliner, emphasize relaxation and comfort: one of the new models was designed to enable women to apply makeup more easily, while the other features a wood-grain finish and sophisticated styling. A side-lit mirror in both new lavatory units provides a clear, well-illuminated image of the passenger's face. The female-oriented unit includes a shelf to place makeup cases, a white and pink color scheme and marble-like countertop. The sink in both of the units is in the corner to maximize usable space on the countertop. In both units, the ceiling lamps employ energy-saving, long-lasting light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Although Boeing stopped production of the midsized aircraft last year, numerous 757s remain in service, and demand for value-added renovations is mounting as airlines seek to differentiate their airliners. In addition to lavatory modules for the Boeing 757 and 737, Yokohama Rubber supplies drinking-water tanks for nearly every Boeing model. It is also the exclusive supplier of drinking water drinking water supply of water available to animals for drinking supplied via nipples, in troughs, dams, ponds and larger natural water sources; an insufficient supply leads to dehydration; it can be the source of infection, e.g. leptospirosis, salmonellosis, or of poisoning, e.g. and wastewater tanks for the Airbus 380. Other exhibits at the Yokohama booth will include galley panels, a food cart, and examples of weight-saving aramid Aramid fibers are a class of heat-resistant and strong synthetic fibers.
