Rubber Ltd., Tokyo Tokyo (tō`kēō), city (1990 pop. 8,163,573), capital of Japan and of Tokyo prefecture, E central Honshu, at the head of Tokyo Bay. , Japan, will expand its production capacity for off-the-road tires for construction, mining and other heavy equipment by about 50%. The company will build a new facility at its Onomichi Onomichi (ōnō`mēchē), city (1990 pop. 97,103), Hiroshima prefecture, SW Honshu, Japan, on the Inland Sea. It is a shipping center and the site of several Buddhist temples, notably that of Senko-ji (10th cent.). , Japan, plant to provide the additional capacity.
