Yesler Software Announces Partnerships Software, Hardware and Service Vendors Further Simplify Rich Media Communications Process.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 7, 1998--Yesler Software, a Seattle, Washington-based Internet applications company, today announced a series of partnerships and business relationships with corporations supporting Yesler Alive, the Internet application that lets users easily incorporate audio, video and other digital media into their one-to-many communications.

Yesler Alive will include a specially-selected set of professional images from PhotoDisc(R) Inc.'s PowerPics Web site, encoding.com will provide discounted digital encoding services for Yesler customers, and Intel(R) PC Cameras, part of the Intel Create & Share Camera Pack, will be available to bring streaming video to Yesler Alive presentations. Additionally, Allaire Corporation and Yesler Software have developed a strategic co-marketing and development relationship. As part of the agreement, Allaire will provide a copy of its award-winning HomeSite HTML editor with each unit of Yesler Alive.

Yesler Alive is the first software that enables users to enhance their communications with rich media -- including closed captioning -- and publish them to the Web with a single mouse-click. With Yesler Alive, users can transform reports, presentations, training and other messages they need to deliver both internally and externally by adding the visuals, the audio, and the impact that have been so difficult and time consuming to impart with current tools.

Partnerships Further Simplify the Process

Yesler Software has been actively partnering with companies that complement the process of creating a multimedia title, such as camera vendors and digital and Web service companies. Yesler Software's first relationships will help users get moving quickly using Yesler Alive.

"Our customers are using Yesler Alive to create and integrate audio, video, digital photography, animation, text, and other graphics into their Yesler Alive content," said John Mullin, Vice President of Business Development. One of the first companies to partner with Yesler is Allaire Corporation, developers of ColdFusion(R) and HomeSite application development and server software. As part of the agreement, Yesler will include a copy of HomeSite with Yesler Alive, allowing users to customize the many templates included with Yesler Alive.

To assist our customers with acquisition of digital works, an agreement has been reached with PhotoDisc. Yesler Alive will ship with 50 free photographs for customers to use within their presentations, and will include a link to PhotoDisc's PowerPics Web site for acquisition of further works.
