Yamaha reduces price of popular quad speed CD recorder product.SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 10, 1995--High market interest combined with falling manufacturing costs have allowed Yamaha Corporation of America to drop the price of their popular CD expert (CD Recorder) products by 30% from a retail price of $5,000 for the internal unit to $3,495. "This is a fast moving market," said Daniel Baca, product manager for the CD Expert Series. "The Yamaha 4X CD Recorder products have been extremely well received.
