The Yahoo! Yodel Challenge is open to people of all ages, and Yahoo! encourages participation by both adult and child yodelers. The Yahoo! Yodel Challenge: How It Works

The promotion features audition-style events across eight U.S. cities, during which three semi-finalists will be chosen at each event with the help of local celebrity judges. Participants may also enter by submitting their yodel online or via VHS tape. Contestants will be judged on their yodeling abilities, star presence, and style, as they perform the Yahoo! yodel and their own "freestyle The code name for the MCE version of Windows. Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.

For every participant who competes in the Yahoo! Yodel Challenge in one of the eight U.S. cities, Yahoo! will donate $10 to the local Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. Big Brothers Big Sisters will also have a presence at each event.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring Youth mentoring is the process of matching caring, concerned adults with young people who may be at risk. The adult is usually unrelated and works as a volunteer through a community, school or church based social service program.  organization in the country.
