YOUR VIEW: Ask us first.

Byline: Joe Moran,

THE recent reports about the new posts of President for the United States of Europe, and also a Leader of the Council, should give all of us cause for concern. Once again, we see the former French President, G. De'Estaing, blatantly dragging us into a bureaucratic nightmare that will become a money pit.

Why cause for concern? Because no-one has asked us!

No one asked us about a wider Europe! No one asked us if we would give up our rebate! And I do not believe Tony is going to ask us if we want the euro this year - as he promised.
