DESIGNS TO ENVY: Green has become the color of choice in the upscale world of home fashion.

Just stroll through Modern Living, the L.A.-based retailer (8775 Beverly Blvd.) specializing in European designs, and you'll see green - ranging from brights to grays - in a number of collections.

Living Divani's Vintage loveseat comes in apple-green mohair mohair, hair of the Angora goat or a large group of fabrics made from it, either wholly or in combination with wool, silk, or cotton. The Angora goat, native of Asia Minor for 2,000 years, is bred in other lands, e.g., the SW United States and South Africa. , and is priced from $3,900 to $9,200. Another manufacturer, Arcade, merges organic forms with highly textured glass to create uniquely shaped vases.

Ropa takes the green movement a step further. In this collection from Paola Lenti Paola Antonelli is one of the world's foremost design experts and was recently rated as one of the top one hundred most powerful people in the world of art by Art Review. She is a curator in the Department of Architecture and Design at the Museum of Modern Art. , furniture found poolside pool·side
