The Garden Conservancy The Garden Conservancy is a nonprofit American organization dedicated to preserving exceptional American gardens.

The Conservancy was founded in 1989, and has since helped a number of American gardens to develop their preservation strategies, organizational structures, and

 Arts Italianate villa noted for its Bali-inspired meditation garden, as well as five more private gardens in historic West Adams, the city's wealthiest neighborhood in the 1920s, says Garden Conservancy spokeswoman Deborah Friedman. And Craftsman fans won't want to miss the Trosper-Raposa Arts & Crafts Garden, 2515 Fourth Ave., which has a koi pond, hybrid roses and romantic sweet peas in bloom.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE GARDEN TOUR: Whether you're plotting your own new garden or are just of fan of lush lawns, you'll get plenty of tips at the Westlake Village Garden Club's 30th annual tour on April 27.

The tour, which includes five outstanding gardens and patios in Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks, will be held from 12:30 to 5 p.m. as a benefit for horticulture and environmental science scholarships for local students, says club president Mollie mollie or molly, New World fish of the genus Mollienesia, in the same family as the guppy (see killifish).
