USEFUL WISDOM: ``Red sky at night, sailors' delight; red sky at morning, sailors' warning.'' You've probably heard that kind of folk wisdom, but did you ever wonder why it seems to hold true? Gardening writer Charlie Ryrie did, so she delved into the science behind the folklore in researching her new book, ``Garden Folklore That Works'' (Reader's Digest Reader's Digest

U.S.-based monthly magazine. Founded by DeWitt and Lila Wallace, it was first published in 1922 as a digest of articles of topical interest and entertainment value condensed from other periodicals.
; $24.95). Ryrie uncovered the reasons behind the quaint gardening advice that's been passed down through generations, helping modern gardeners decide what's valid and what's myth. Take the red-sky saying, for example. Ryrie explains that it has to do with the eastward movement of most bad weather. The evening sky is red when clearing on the western horizon allows the setting sun to shine on clouds in the east, which are most likely moving away. A red morning sky, however, is caused by the light from the rising sun shining on clouds in the west, which are probably heading toward you and bringing rain Starring Adrian Grenier. Written and directed by Noah Buschel. Co-starring Niesha Butler, Merritt Wever, Paz de la Huerta, Ryan Donowho, Larisa Oleynik, Rodrigo Lopresti, Ray Santiago, and Alexis Dziena. .

The company can also create topiaries in the shape of corporate logos, team mascots and cartoon characters, as well as mazes and portable living walls. Extras like fog systems and mechanical jaws and arms are available, too. The neighbors should really like that.
