MONSTER CLAWS: Autumn leaves are pretty to look at - until they start falling all over your lawn. For major cleanup, you'll need a barrel or bag and a full-size rake, but when you only need to pick up a handful or two, try a pair of old-fashioned rake hands. ORCHID CELEBRATION: The East West Orchid Show, ``Orchid Trek,'' will be held Friday through Oct. 21 in the Little Tokyo neighborhood of downtown Los Angeles Downtown Los Angeles is the central business district of Los Angeles, California, located close to the geographic center of the metropolitan area. The sprawling, multi-centered megacity is such that its downtown core is often considered just another district like Hollywood or . In addition to thousands of exotic blooms, there will be workshops, demonstrations, an auction, vendors and more. There are 25,000 species of orchids and more than 50,000 hybrids. ``Orchid Trek'' will offer workshops on topics such as the culture and cultivation of orchids at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, there will be an auction. Show hours are noon to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
