Each interprets the theme of ``All Hallowed Orchids,'' with an emphasis on the `Dracula' and masdevallia genus, the most spidery and unusual of orchids, a nod to Halloween. As you wander about the Rose Hills Foundation Conservatory for Botanical Science, prepare to be dazzled by the wide range of colors and shapes that orchids take. Many of the most spectacular orchids on display will be for sale in the vendor area near the greenhouse conservatory. There you'll find a display of exotic plants going far beyond the more common orchids found at local flower vendors. While some of these orchids require hothouse hothouse: see greenhouse. pampering, others will thrive and bloom inside Southern California homes. Six Southern California orchid societies cooperated with the Southland Orchid Show Committee to present at All Hallowed Orchids this year. Displays emphasize the diversity and expertise of the amateur orchid growers in the L.a. area. Two local orchid societies have plants on display: the San Gabriel Valley The San Gabriel Valley is one of the principal valleys of southern California. It lies to the east of the city of Los Angeles, to the north of the Puente Hills, to the south of the San Gabriel Mountains, and to the west of the Inland Empire.
