UNDER THE BIG TENT: This weekend, more than 100 exhibitors will gather for the sixth annual Home and Garden Show at Saugus Speedway. Along with ideas for home improvement and landscaping, there will be a display of RVs and boats. The show continues from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. WEIRD AND WONDERFUL PLANTS: Purple dragons, plants that ooze OOZE - Object oriented extension of Z. "Object Orientation in Z", S. Stepney et al eds, Springer 1992.  blood and other botanical oddities will be offered at the ``Weird and Wonderful, Magical and Mystical'' plant sale at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens. Traditional gardeners will also find old favorites such as camellias, roses and succulents. There is no admission fee to the plant sale, which will be held outside the library grounds in the parking at 1151 Oxford Road, San Marino. PRIME-TIME GARDENING: HGTV HGTV Home and Garden Television  kicks off the spring gardening season at 8 p.m. Monday through Friday with the debut of its new outdoor design series, ``Landscapers' Challenge,'' paired with five special episodes of ``Designing for the Sexes: Outdoors.'' The latter is about creating landscapes for couples with different tastes and will feature the latest on patio furniture, barbecues, fountains and flowers, followed by the new ``Landscapers' Challenge'' hosted by Marianne Curan. In each episode, Curan puts three professional landscape designers to the test by asking them to compete for the same project and give a full presentation to the homeowner, who then decides which one to hire. Homes in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys are included in this week's episodes. Viewers will get to watch and do their own comparison shopping. The program's regular 8 p.m. Thursday slot begins on May 30.
