Pulaski Furniture, in Virginia, long known for elegant china closets, has teamed up with ``Antiques Roadshow'' to re-create 60 pieces in the show's archives that were voted the most popular according to a consumer survey. They're not exactly like the originals but adapted for today's lifestyle, explains Bob Handler, Pulaski's vice president of corporate development. TRICKS OF `TRADING': For those fans of the Learning Channel's ``Trading Spaces,'' there's no furniture line on the horizon but a whole lot of decorating ideas in its new book, ``Trading Spaces: Behind the Scenes'' (Meredith Books; $19.95). Readers will find tips and tricks used on the show, help with decorator terms such as ``neo-classic'' (which means modern adaptions of ancient Greek and Romans designs), and even pull-out posters of each of the designers. If you're thinking that TV viewers have become as attracted to decorating show hosts as to soap stars, you may be right. In all fairness, ``Ty's Tricks of the Trade'' (Hyperion Books; $19.95) does have lots of hands-on help ranging from koi ponds to hardwood flooring. Instructions are written for beginners on a budget. Among our faves are his tips on renting an electric sander on a Saturday instead of a weekday because you'll get it for the entire weekend and won't have to return it until Monday morning (more time for less money); and when painting, he suggests that you poke holes in the rim with a nail and hammer so the paint will drip back into the can instead of down the sides and on the floor.
