Apologies to the partridge in the pear tree, but we could use some better holiday gift and decorating advice than what is heard in the ``12 Days of Christmas'' carol.

Skip the eight maids a' milking and take in our revised list. We've got tips and ideas to make your holidays more festive.

First day:
