The study, conducted by Director of Technical Services Terry Wirth, concluded that survey participants prefer the image quality of the 4900 over that of other printers for text, output, graphics and gradient fill. Wirth's report attributes the 4900's superior image quality to quad-dot technology, which enhances the dot patterns that create full-color images. Wirth also states that -- even with the highest resolution in the group -- the 4900's overall productivity is superior to that of the other printers.
