Xerox offers HP customers new economical, high-quality choices in toner cartridges.

Xerox Corporation (NYSE:XRX) has launched two replacement toner cartridges for use in Hewlett-Packard LaserJet printers, providing customers with a high-quality alternative at a lower cost than toner cartridges offered directly by Hewlett-Packard.

The new Xerox cartridges can be used in the HP LaserJet 1150, an 18 page-per-minute printer for individuals and office workgroups, and in the HP LaserJet 1300, a 20 page-per-minute printer used in workgroups and networked office environments.

"Over the life of a typical office printer, cartridge replacement can represent more than 75 percent of a printer's total cost of ownership," said Jim Forrest, managing editor, Hard Copy Supplies Journal, Lyra Research. "Providing the market with high-quality options on toner cartridges keeps the costs reasonable for customers."

The "It's Compatible" Xerox line includes toner cartridges designed for 85 percent of HP's LaserJet product family, giving people quality and yield that is equal to or better than the comparable HP cartridge at prices up to 20 percent less. All Xerox "It's Compatible" products have a one-year, 100 percent performance guarantee.

Both "It's Compatible" cartridges are available immediately in North America through Xerox direct sales representatives, authorized sales agents, resellers, and dealers and in Europe through concessionaires. The U.S. manufacturer's suggested list price for each cartridge is $102.99.
