Xerox Packs More Power in Professional Color Printer with Enhanced Color Server from Creo; System delivers enhanced workflow, variable information, color management for the DocuColor 3535.

(NASDAQ: CREO; TSX: CRE) and Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) have launched the SpireTM CXP3535e color server for the Xerox DocuColor(R) 3535 color copier/printer system, bringing the key benefits of Creo professional graphic arts solutions to small print shops and graphics-intensive office environments.

The Spire CXP3535e features a new user interface, providing a workflow process consistent with those delivered by systems designed for high-end production environments. It also delivers outstanding color and has advanced capabilities for customized printing with information that varies from page to page.

Designed to electronically process and transmit color images to the DocuColor 3535, the Spire CXP3535e color server lets people maximize the print quality and performance of the printer's engine by delivering powerful color management, color calibration and enhanced productivity.

The Spire CXP3535e is being shown for the first time at Graph Expo, the leading U.S. trade exhibition for the graphic communications industry.

The Xerox DocuColor 3535 is a color multifunction system geared toward graphic design shops, corporate reprographic departments, and graphics-intensive offices. At 35 pages per minute and with 600 x 600 x 8 dpi prints, it has the speed and print quality professionals in these work environments need for proofing documents and for other color printing applications.

Creo Spire CXP3535e

This enhanced version of the Creo Spire CXP3535 released last year includes a host of improvements to the hardware and software. The Spire CXP3535e includes a faster 3.06 GHz processor, the ability to read DVD media, the Microsoft Windows XP Professional operating system, and an improved graphical user interface consistent with other production-class Creo color servers. The specific benefits include:

--Image quality and color management - delivers detailed control of images and color that meets the demands of discriminating professionals

--Productivity with workflow - includes tools needed to quickly perform tasks such as preflight checks to proofing and imposition

The Creo Spire CXP3535e is available immediately in North America through the same channels as the DocuColor 3535, including Xerox direct sales representatives and Xerox agents, and through Creo to commercial printers.
