: XRX XRX Xerox Corporation (stock symbol) ) is expanding its flagship Xerox iGen3(R) Digital Production Press platform with a 90-page-per-minute model that has the same image quality, application flexibility and reliability as the industry-leading Xerox iGen3 110 digital press.

The Xerox iGen3 90 Digital Production Press is based on the technology of the successful Xerox iGen3 platform, which since its launch in 2002 has produced more than 3 billion pages worldwide for customers - including jobs like full-color personalized marketing Personalized marketing (also called personalization, and sometimes called one-to-one marketing) is an extreme form of product differentiation. Whereas product differentiation tries to differentiate a product from competing ones, personalization tries to make a unique product  materials, direct-mail pieces and short-run books.

The Xerox iGen3 90 will make it easier for print providers who have lower print volumes to enter the high-end digital printing market with a lower capital investment.

"We've listened to our customers and given them a product that is the right fit between the Xerox DocuColor product line and the Xerox iGen3 110," said Quincy Allen, president, Xerox Production Systems Group. "The iGen3 90 press will bring customers a more affordable choice in a portfolio designed to meet their specific page volume needs, surpass competitive products and allow them to generate more profits."

Compared to competitive machines, the Xerox iGen3 90 press is faster, more reliable and offers superior paper handling. The digital press is also modular, making it easy to expand its capabilities so that customers can maximize their initial investments.

The iGen3 90 accommodates a wide variety of stock weights (from 60 gsm to 350 gsm) and sizes (from 178 x 178 mm to 364 x 571 mm) that allow print professionals to produce applications such as book jackets, postcards and posters. Productivity advantages outpace out·pace

Xerox iGen3 Applications

Xerox iGen3 customers produce many specialty applications, including packaging and photo memory books. Customers using these applications will be featured in Xerox's booth at IPEX IPEX Italian Power Exchange

For example, De Budelse, a Dutch packaging printer, is using offset and digital technology to produce packaging applications. With the Xerox iGen3 110, the company is now able to print high-quality, short-run jobs using StoraEnso's Ensocoat 250 gsm paper board, which allows De Budelse to only stock one type of paper whether it's running offset or digital. The entire process - design, printing, and offline die cutting and creasing - will be shown, and attendees can take the package and fill it with candy.

My PhotoFun, a photo-based application by TED Gigaprint, is an online service where consumers are able to create hard-cover photo memory books and calendars that are then printed on the Xerox iGen3 press. The service is currently operating in 10 countries. Another photo-based application is the Xerox-Alphapicture Web site, created by i-Clue, a German direct-marketing company and software developer. The site gives Xerox iGen3 users access to a unique one-to-one image service where customers can create and print personalized pictures for calendars, postcards, greeting cards See e-card.  and marketing literature.

Attendees of IPEX 2006 can also design and send a free card with an online personalized greeting card service - Greetz - by Dutch company Venspro. Venspro generates up to 80,000 different orders each month, all printed on a Xerox iGen3 110 press.
