Xencor Selects Antibody Development Candidates.


MONROVIA, Calif. -- Xencor, Inc., a leader in antibody optimization, has selected two humanized monoclonal antibody monoclonal antibody, an antibody that is mass produced in the laboratory from a single clone and that recognizes only one antigen. Monoclonal antibodies are typically made by fusing a normally short-lived, antibody-producing B cell (see immunity) to a fast-growing  candidates, XmAb[TM] 5574 and XmAb[TM] 5483, for IND-enabling pre-clinical development for the treatment of B-cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases Autoimmune diseases
