Xechem Acquires Equity Stake in Consumers Choice Systems, Inc.

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 1, 2002

Xechem International, Inc. (OTC BB: ZKEM) today announced that it has acquired a ten percent equity position in Consumers Choice Systems, Inc. (CCS), a manufacturer and distributor of "UTI" brand products for the detection, relief and prevention of urinary tract infections and other womens' health care products.

CSS has exchanged 5,173,000 shares of its common stock for all debts currently outstanding with Xechem.

CCS, through its Woman's Wellbeing division (www.womanswellbeing.com), markets an array of personal care products for women in CVS, RITE AID, WALGREENS and LONGs store chains, as well as in several other consumer stores throughout the country. Its well received products include it's Menopause Relief(TM) supplement, a specially formulated product to alleviate hot flashes and night sweats, the two most common symptoms of menopause; UTI Screening Test Kit(R) for the detection of urinary tract infections; UTI Relief(R) for relief of pain and burning associated with urinary tract infections; and Cranberry-Plus(TM), a capsulated formulation containing cranberry and blue berry extracts for the prevention of urinary tract infections.
