SEATTLE -- First graph, last sentence should read: The dividend on the Preferred Stock Stock shares that have preferential rights to dividends or to amounts distributable on liquidation, or to both, ahead of common shareholders.

Preferred stock is given preference over common stock. Holders of preferred stock receive dividends at a fixed annual rate.

("Xcyte", the "Company") (Nasdaq:XCYT) announced today that the Company's Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend in the amount of $0.15 per share on its 6% Convertible Exchangeable Preferred Stock (the "Preferred Stock") in accordance with the terms thereof. Xcyte issued 2,990,000 shares of the Preferred Stock in November 2004. As of April 8, 2005, approximately 943,000 shares of the Preferred Stock have been converted to the Company's common stock. The dividend on the Preferred Stock will be paid on May 2, 2005, to the holders of record as of the close of business on April 22, 2005.
