SS8 Networks today announced that its Xcipio(TM) solution, a lawful intercept product, has achieved interoperability approval from Nortel Networks.

This compatibility approval was achieved after hundreds of hours of testing and more than 120 executed tests using GSM wireless infrastructure equipment located in the Nortel Networks Richardson, Texas, lab. Xcipio successfully completed all of the J-STD-025 test cases, thereby demonstrating the product's high quality, flexibility and usability.

The objective of the testing was to demonstrate interoperability between Nortel Networks SuperNode Data Manager / Fault Tolerant (SDM/FT) platform running GEM15 software with all released patches and SS8 Networks' Xcipio product with release version 2.0 in a TIA J-STD-025 compliant environment. This release of Xcipio is a next generation lawful intercept product designed to replace older generation Call Intercept Provisioning Center (CIPC) products currently integrated with Nortel Networks infrastructure deployments.
