Xanadu.

XANADU

   Vodka consumed alone
   and sipped with ice
   inaugurates a glittering display
   of my victorious mind
   that soon resembles
one of those lit-up cities, briefly

caught sight of from a plane at night
   with unexpected strings of light
   and thousands of imaginary lives
   that I control
observe and know about and lose
   as darkness takes command.
