The group will work with XMetaL clients to improve content lifecycles -- business processes that span the contribution, authoring, styling, review, localization, publishing and management of content. One area of focus is to enable global enterprises to increase the clock speed of multilingual content publishing, and in the process radically reduce localization costs by implementing best practices and technologies for multilingual content management and globalization management.

XMetaL's Content Lifecycle Solutions Practice will help global organizations deliver content faster and more consistently across markets, enabling simultaneous global product launches while significantly reducing the cost of content localization. In addition, organizations will be better able to establish control over their global brands by maintaining a single source of content, while providing unique local content to ensure a superior and relevant customer experience.

George has more than 25 years experience as an information and process consultant to corporations and the public sector. George's experience has spanned from owning a content management technology company to working for multinational companies in North America, Europe and South America. He has served as the head of Product Management at Nortel and Hitachi, as an IT Manager for CNCP Telecomm, and for Philips of Holland as a senior software designer.

Bret Freeman has more than 15 years experience in content lifecycle operations, consulting and structured authoring implementations in Fortune 500 firms, with expertise in the areas of enterprise content management, unstructured to structured authoring migration, technical publishing, multilingual information management, collaboration, knowledge management, and complex workflow design. Bret writes for many trade publications, maintains a blog at cmsrockstar.org, speaks frequently on a variety of topics for such organizations and events as CIDM, Society for Technical Communicators (STC) groups, Society of Scholarly publishing, Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA), Writers UA, TRI XML and Gilbane, and is an active member of CM Pros.

Amber Swope is an experienced information architect with almost 20 years in the information development field, and has supported teams through the full information development lifecycle from identifying use cases to deliverable publication. Her experience includes architecting and developing information for companies of various sizes. While at IBM, she led the first HTML-to-DITA migration project for the Rational division and implemented DITA in a production environment. Amber is a member of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee and participates on the Learning and Training Specialization team. Amber has authored numerous papers and articles on information design, development and architecture, and has presented at leading industry conferences.

Guy Wilson brings more than 30 years of IT experience to his post of Managing Principal, EMEA. Guy leverages his proven experience establishing and managing consultancies in Europe and India for companies such as ITC, PTC, and Zeus Technologies to his client engagements at XMetaL, and as Practice Managing Principal is also charged with growing XMetaL's services delivery capability in EMEA. Most recently, Guy led the EMEA arm of ITC InfoTech's Global PLM Practice, providing staff augmentation and packaged services to PTC's Global Services organization.
