XEROX, COMPUTER ASSOCIATES TEAM UP TO EASE DOCUMENT SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT HARDSHIPS: Integration Alleviates Network Administration Burden, Improves Enterprise Coherence.

Xerox Corp. and Computer Associates International Inc. have announced an effort to enable clients to manage the administration of Xerox network-based printers and multifunction devices via CA's popular enterprise management solution called Unicenter TNG. The collaboration is expected to save mutual clients considerable time and money by automating many administration functions for companies using Xerox Document Centre multifunction devices and DocuPrint N series printers, easing the burden on system administrators.

"Our work together ensures that Xerox network-based printers are managed by Unicenter TNG in the same fashion as any device throughout an enterprise, saving time and money while alleviating some of the biggest device-management concerns for network administrators."

For the Document Centre and DocuPrint N Series printers, Unicenter TNG will provide device set up information to systems administrators about problems, and integrate the information into the Advanced Help Desk Option of Unicenter TNG. The capabilities will be available beginning Q1 2000.
