MOJAVE - XCOR Aerospace XCOR Aerospace is a private rocket engine and spaceflight development company based at the Mojave Spaceport in Mojave, California. XCOR was formed by former members of the Rotary Rocket rocket engine development team in September, 1999. XCOR is headed by Jeff Greason.  said it has acquired selected assets of the Rotary Rocket Co., including the full and exclusive rights to all technology developed by the company.

``Our team has previous experience with these technologies and can rapidly incorporate them into our products. This is not just an acquisition of papers in a file cabinet,'' said XCOR CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Jeff Greason Jeff Greason is a founder of XCOR Aerospace, the Personal Spaceflight Federation, was the team lead at Rotary Rocket for engine development, and previously worked at Intel. .

The company plans to use some of the Rotary Rocket technology in its own vehicle and engine designs and may also license technology to clients for other projects.

XCOR's owners worked for Mojave-based Rotary Rocket Co., which tried to build an unconventional single-stage rocket. XCOR now builds rocket engines and has built rocket-powered airplanes.

In addition to the patents, a variety of other technological innovations developed at Rotary Rocket were acquired by XCOR. These also include designs and test data for composite liquid oxygen tank technology, and rocket engine injector technology.
