Each model produces photo quality color and comes standard with either 600 x 600 or 1200 x 1200 dpi, oversized printing capabilities, a high speed RISC processor, Adobe PostScript 3, Xante's TrueColour correction, and optional duplexing capabilities.

Xante's photo quality color provides rich, full color at 600 x 600 dpi or 1200 x 1200 dpi, depending on the model chosen. Design, prepress, and business professionals require accurate color and clear, crisp text on a wide range of paper types including ordinary bond paper or specialty stocks such as coated, card, transparencies, laser quality labels, and envelopes.

Xante's TrueColour Correction allows users to select the desired proof mode when printing to control color, requiring no file or software setting changes.

Each model offers 6-24 pages per minute ranging from 4-color process to monochrome color. The Xante ColourLaser series uses toner in monocomponent cartridges of Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. Media handling accommodates from A4/letter size documents to 13" x 19" size media with a maximum printable area of 12.16" x 18". The Xante ColourLaser series handles media weights up to 60 lb. cover stock, 16 to 24 lb. plain paper, and duplexes up to 28 lb. bond paper. Plain paper, transparencies, laser-quality labels and thick paper stock, up to 60 lb. cover, are just a few of the media types that the Xante ColourLaser series can accommodate. Standard input includes a 250 sheet universal cassette. Two optional 500 sheet paper feeders with cassettes are available to bring maximum input capacity to 1,250 sheets. Standard output capacity is 250 sheets. Duplexing is available for plain paper and thick stocks with the addition of a 500 sheet paper feeder and cassette.

Xante ColourLaser 600

The Xante ColourLaser provides versatile paper handling and fast, high quality color printing. Designed for business professionals and general office use, the 600 x 600 dpi Xante ColourLaser model is the ideal choice for creating color reports, presentations, and other visual documents.

This base model is built around the NEC VR 4300 166 MHz RISC processor and ships standard with 64 MB RAM, upgradable to 256 MB. In addition to Adobe PostScript 3, oversized printing up to 13" x 19", Xante TrueColour Correction and 10BaseT Ethernet, this unit also includes ICC profiles for sRGB and SNAP printing inks. Color output resolution is at 600 x 600 dpi with monochrome printing at 1200 x 1200 dpi. Xante's Accurate Calibration Technology (X-ACT) is available from the printer's front panel and allows users to calibrate both the horizontal and vertical dimensions of page images.

Xante ColourLaser 1200

For professionals requiring higher resolution and predictable, consistent, and reproducible color matching between the printer and other CMYK devices, the 1200 x 1200 dpi Xante ColourLaser model is the solution of choice.

This 1200 dpi model is also built around the NEC VR 4300 166 MHz RISC processor and ships standard with the maximum 256 MB RAM. This unit includes all of the same features as the Xante ColourLaser 600 with the addition of Pantone Calibration and Xante's TrueColour Calibration which provides ICC profiles for SWOP, Euroscale, and Toyo as well as sRGB and SNAP printing inks on coated papers. Xante ColourLaser Pro 1200

The Xante ColourLaser Pro 1200 delivers the tools demanded by graphic and printing professionals requiring the highest standard in color printing. In addition to the same quality features that are offered on the Xante ColourLaser 1200, the Pro model includes Xante's ColourMatch Software which controls colors beyond the standard settings. It allows the user to modify colors on the Xante ColourLaser Pro 1200 to more closely match the color generated on the final output device.
