Wyle Labs warns profit drop coming.


Wyle WYLE is a commercial television station in Florence, Alabama, broadcasting locally on channel 26 as an affiliate of Jewelry TV. Founded April 19, 1986, the station is owned by ETC Communications Inc.

WYLE has been silent since February 8, 2007 due to financial difficulties.
 Labs warns profit drop coming

El Segundo-based Wyle Laboratories Wyle Laboratories, Inc. is a privately held provider of specialized engineering, scientific and technical services to the Department of Defense, NASA, and a variety of commercial customers primarily in the aerospace industry.  surprised Wall Street last week, warning its second quarter profits will be "substantially lower" than the same period last year.

The news, following a record first quarter that produced an 18-percent profit increase, sent Wyle's stock tumbling $2.125 to $11.50 a share.

The manufacturer blamed sharply weaker demand for semiconductors from personal computer makers.

"Significant price reductions by major personal computer manufacturers have created pressures on second- and third-tier (PC clone A PC that is not made by one of the major PC vendors. Years ago, it meant any PC not made by IBM. See white box and PC compatible. ) manufacturers, which are serviced, to a large extent, by electronic distributors such as Wyle," explained Chief Executive Officer Charles M. Clough n. 1. Despite the setback setback
