(Exercising the Right).At around 1 a.m. on April 29th, former police officer Jose Vazquez of East Chicago, Indiana East Chicago is a city in Lake County, Indiana, opposite Chicago, Illinois. When the two entered the room, however, Vazquez instead grabbed a .38-caliber revolver, turned, and fired two shots. One struck Scott in the stomach. The wounded criminal was treated at a local hospital and charged with attempted robbery. Police recovered a pellet gun a gun that fires small pellets, less than 3 mm diameter, usually made of metal.
