Wrap launches recycling fund.


The Waste & Resources Action Program (WRAP) has launched a competitive call for capital projects to increase regional recycling recycling, the process of recovering and reusing waste products—from household use, manufacturing, agriculture, and business—and thereby reducing their burden on the environment.  capacity.

Since its launch in 2003, WRAP's RMDF has successfully provided more than 5 million [pounds sterling] to a number of regional recycling initiatives for all types of material streams, including organics, wood and glass. The amount of scrap material being recycled through these projects has now exceeded the fund's own target for all materials other than biodegradable materials.
