Wounded Warriors Rig for Skiing, Rock Climbing, Other Winter Sports.

PHOENIX, March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Seriously wounded veterans will learn to ski, rock climb, drive snowmobiles, and scuba dive -- sports they may have thought they would never do -- at the 22nd National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic March 30 to April 4 in Snowmass Village, Colo.

In 2007, 124 newly injured military personnel participated in the Clinic, according to the clinic's organizers, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Disabled American Veterans The Disabled American Veterans, or DAV, is an organization for disabled veterans that helps them and their families through various means. It currently has over 1.2 million members.
