Worldwide rubber consumption to increase 4.4%.


The International Rubber Study Group predicts that worldwide rubber consumption will increase 4.4% this year with almost a 4% increase for 1996. The IRSG IRSG - Internet Research Steering Group  said that 14.2 million metric tons were consumed con·sume

Production in Thailand is expected to increase over 9% to 1.84 mmt by the end of 1996 from the 1.68 mmt produced in 1994. Indonesia's production will incrementally increase from the 1.4 mmt in 1994 to 1.48 in 1996. NR production in Malaysia is expected to decline to 1.05 mmt from 1.08 mmt registered in 1994.
