ESP is aimed at assisting organizations in the detection of security breaches and vulnerabilities to their e-mail networks such as viruses, SPAMs, e-mail bombs and exchange of unprotected proprietary information over the Internet.

ESP also allows organizations to assess violations of corporate e-mail usage policies, such as the exchange of potentially offensive e-mail, large video files and sexually explicit material.
