 market has dropped to a mere 3.4 percent from 13 percent a year ago, The eMarketer Daily reports. WebSideStory notes that Netscape (1) (Netscape Communications Corporation, Mountain View, CA, www.netscape.com) Part of America Online (AOL), Netscape specializes in Web software, including the Netscape Web browser.  used to claim a market share of 32 percent in 1999. Currently, however, Microsoft Internet Explorer See Internet Explorer.  claims the lion's share of the market with 96 percent in 2002--up from 87 percent in 2001.
