MINNEAPOLIS -- Compellent Technologies, a provider of affordable and modular enterprise storage solutions, today announced World Wildlife Fund has selected its Storage Center(R) storage area network (SAN) to speed data storage management and ensure rapid disaster recovery. WWF's new Compellent SAN has enabled it to cut storage administration time by 50% percent and decrease its server recovery time from eight hours to 30 minutes. E[acute accent acute accent

E[acute accent]"Whenever a photographer returned from a shoot, the additional 80 GB or more of images caused us to shuffle storage resources," said Anne Topp, director, network services for World Wildlife Fund. "Additionally, last year's annual disaster recovery test confirmed we needed a more reliable tool to safeguard our Exchange server. The Compellent SAN gives us both simplified management and continuous recovery in a single, affordable solution." E[acute accent]Compellent's Data Instant Replay enables World Wildlife Fund to roll back time and recover from potential data hazards in minutes by creating an unlimited number of space-efficient snapshots that allow instantaneous restoration of data through a simple point-and-click interface. Now, World Wildlife Fund takes a snapshot of its Exchange database every 2 hours without a capacity or cost penalty.
