Quality of Service Certification Further Validates World Wide Packets' True Carrier Ethernet Strategy

World Wide Packets, a provider of Carrier Ethernet solutions, today announced that its LightingEdge(R) products has received certification from the Iometrix test laboratory under the terms established by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF MEF Marine Expeditionary Force

) for its MEF 14. The MEF 14 certification focuses on Carrier Ethernet traffic management capabilities, specifically, service performance and bandwidth profile rate enforcement.

Multiple products within the World Wide Packets' LightningEdge family received MEF 14 certification for compliance with all three services defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum, including Ethernet Private Line (EPL 1. EPL - Early PL/I.
