"Patton: A Genius for War" provides a biographical look at one of the most daring and controversial American generals in war. "D-Day Normandy: June 6th, 1944" looks at the initial stages of the Allies" invasion of the continent, the problems faced by the attacking troops, the blunders, and the heroism of the Allied troops. "Pommel pommel

: The Last Knight" describes three stages of Rommel's career: first as leader of the Afrika Corps that rolled over Allied armies in North Africa early in the war; next, as commander of the German forces charged with the defense of Northern France; and finally, his involvement in the plan to kill Hitler "David Pergrin: The Panzer Stopper" pays tribute to a small group of unsung engineers who blew up bridges to prevent the Germans from getting men and supplies to the front. Certainly disproves the myth that history is boring. Prof. John E. Boyd, Jenkintown, PA
