The agreement enables Mitsubishi to further broaden its leadership in serving the carrier market by providing its customers with the industry's most scalable, reliable and open Voice-Over-Packet solutions. The Sonus GSX 9000 and the Sonus Open Services Architecture The Open Service Access or OSA is part of the 3rd generation mobile telecommunications network or UMTS. OSA describes how services are architected in an UMTS network.

The standards for OSA are being developed as part of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).

) will enable Mitsubishi's carrier customers to rapidly develop and deliver competitive new customer services, fueling important new revenue streams.
