Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab Klaus Martin Schwab (born March 30 1938) is a Swiss economist and businessman, best known as the president and founder of the World Economic Forum. His wife and former secretary, Hilde, works with him on some of his projects. He was born in 1938 in Ravensburg, Germany. , believes his annual meeting of heads of state, cabinet ministers, and global business leaders in Davos Davos (dävôs`), town (1990 pop. 10,957), Grisons canton, E Switzerland, on the Landwasser River. It is a famous winter sports center and a health resort. , Switzerland, is the world's most important gathering. We are reminded of Carroll Car·roll , James 1854-1907.

British-born American physician noted for his research on yellow fever. In 1900 he deliberately infected himself with the disease for experimental purposes.
