Monitors will install security cameras and place seals on key equipment at the reactor in Yongbyon. In Feb., four months after test-exploding a nuclear bomb, N. Korea pledged to disable the reactor in exchange for economic aid and political concessions. PAKISTAN: President Pervez Musharraf gave clerics more time to persuade defiant militants to lay down their arms and surrender a mosque they have defended against thousands of gov't troops. Hundreds are believed to be in the mosque, and at least 24 people have been killed in the standoff. SERBIA: The breakaway province of Kosovo appealed to the U.S. to kick-start talks and speed the secession process through the U.N. CHINA: An estimated 2 billion mice have overrun 22 counties in central China, owing to floodwaters that drove the rodents from their holes.
